You have great ideas – Share them with Microsoft!

If you use a business application daily, odds are that you have improvements you'd like to see and feature ideas that would provide new value. After all, you’re the expert in how the system works and what can be done to better meet your needs. You likely experience certain bugs, must complete process steps that feel unnecessary, or notice functionality gaps—along with needs specific to your exact industry and job responsibilities.

If you’re invested in making the solution you use work better for yourself and others using it, we’ve got good news. Microsoft provides a few ways to submit feedback and make your voice—and those of many other users much like you—heard.

Dynamics 365 Application Ideas

You can share your ideas and vote on the ideas that have already been suggested within the Dynamics 365 Community. Through crowdsourcing ideas and fast-tracking the most upvoted and popular concepts, this feedback portal is one of the best, most efficient ways to ensure good ideas are heard. You can have a very real impact on the usability of the apps you work with every day. Here’s your chance:

Maybe someday you’ll be able to point to a feature in Business Central—or Dynamics 365 Sales, or whatever you use!—and say to your colleagues, “See that? That was my idea.”

Microsoft Feedback Portal

The same concept as the Dynamics 365 Application ideas has been extended to other Microsoft products such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and more. Currently in preview, the Microsoft Feedback Portal is a space to tell Microsoft what works great within the app…and what could be improved. Organized by application, you can filter through the threads of suggestions to figure out if what you’re thinking has already been suggested – in which case you can upvote and comment on that thread – or if you’ll be the first to bring your great idea to the table. Logging in with your Microsoft account will also allow you to track the status of your previous suggestions.

Throw your two cents in

Those who use a product are the ones who are at a distinct advantage and perfectly primed to make it exactly what it needs to be. By providing these crowdsourcing opportunities, Microsoft acknowledges this and facilitates your participation to improve the apps you rely on for your day-to-day activities. Many of the biannual Dynamics 365 Release Wave updates have come from users and gained momentum in the Application Ideas space.

Join the conversation in Microsoft Communities

As mentioned above, there’s value in venturing onto Microsoft Communities just to provide feedback and suggestions for future features and functionalities within the apps you use daily. But there’s additional value to be gained by exploring the other things the Dynamics 365 Community has to offer and jumping into other Microsoft Communities for Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power Virtual Agents.

In short, communities are spaces for product experts and fellow end users to gather and share knowledge, ideas, and questions and where there is a space to give feedback straight to Microsoft. Within forums, you can post your questions and thoughts and engage with other conversations being had about the systems you’re invested in. Communities also includes a blog, lists of events, product updates, and learning resources.
