Note: The Bridge to the Cloud 2 promotion mentioned in this blog has been extended through the end of 2025.

For businesses using non-cloud or legacy ERP solutions (Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics SL), the thought of moving to a new ERP system may bring with it a mixture of excitement and apprehension. Especially for those who have recently invested in infrastructure or have little wiggle room in their ERP budget, it may feel financially sound and comfortable to stay put.

But is that true? Microsoft is investing heavily in Business Central on the cloud, and with that investment is the desire to lift everyone else up to the cloud as well. From September 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022, Microsoft’s Bridge to the Cloud promotion will be available to qualifying customers, and it offers large strategic and financial benefits. Current Dynamics GP (or Dynamics NAV or Dynamics SL) customers can transition away from their current ERP and into Business Central in the most cost-effective manner available.

Dynamics GP users, we speak directly to you: Given Microsoft’s ERP investments and the benefits of moving to Business Central, it is well worth it to investigate a transition, and this current promotion offers the best prices to date. We know implementing a new ERP solution can be intimidating, even with such a good promotion. So read on to learn more about the Bridge to the Cloud promotion and how Syvantis can help you every step of the way.

What is the promotion?

In short, the promotion allows qualifying clients who are current on their enhancement plans to enroll before June 20, 2022 and receive a 60% discount on Business Essentials and Business Central Premium per user/per month licenses as well as dual access rights to Business Central and their current solution. The promo is a one-way transition with a period of one year, and clients can opt into one-year extensions for an additional three years (for a total of four years). After the promotion ends, clients will fully move to Business Central and no longer have their former solution.

There are stipulations for qualification, and the terms and details of the promotion are nuanced. We’ve already written a detailed blog about this promotion, so check that out for more about the license prices, eligibility, what “one-way transition” means, and what rights are encompassed under “dual access.”

What are my next steps if I’m interested in the promotion?

If you’re at all interested in the Bridge to the Cloud promotion, and especially if you’re wondering if you qualify, we encourage you to reach out to us to find out more. Here’s what you can expect of the process:

Step 1: First, you reach out to us and share your interest in the promotion. How do you do that? We have a handy form at the bottom of this page. Fill it out and we will be alerted to your interest.

Step 2: We will contact you to arrange a phone call or a meeting. (Don’t worry, this initial chat is free!) During this chat, we will first and foremost ask you questions to determine if you qualify for the promotion. This is a fantastic promotion, but there are a few stipulations that cause some businesses not to qualify. After we figure out if you qualify, we can move forward and chat about all the details of the promotion. You can ask all the questions you have, and we’ll give you any additional information we think you’ll need.

Step 3: After that, or perhaps before, we will want to know more about you. What are your short- and long-term business goals? What business solutions are you currently using, what do you like about them, and what could make your experience better? We have a policy of truly embracing the term “partner” in Microsoft Partner. It’s not just about selling you products—it’s about getting to know your business, your needs now and your hopes for the future, and helping position you for growth and success. It’s truly a partnership.

Step 4: After we determine if you qualify for the promotion, explain all the details, and make sure that, yes, this is the right move for your business and you’re ready to go forward, step 3 is to get started. We’ll help you navigate the promotion enrollment and get you acquainted with Business Central.

Even if you don’t qualify for the Bridge to the Cloud, we’re still here to talk to you about your options. Should you move to Business Central, or stay where you are? Is now a good time to move, or should you wait? You don’t have to utilize the promotion to get our help – we’re a Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics NAV, Dynamics 365 ERP and CRM, and cloud partner. We can help you with it all, with or without the promotion.

Step 5: While you have your dual access rights, you can play with Business Central and we will chat about any customizations or integrations you want to make. One of the many benefits of this promotion is the dual access rights, meaning one system can be live while the other is a demo environment, enabling you to play around with Business Central online as you continue to use your current ERP solution. So, you can experiment and we can get all the integrations, ISVs, add-ons, and any other customizations done before your actual migration. This means you’ll have plenty of time before your Go Live date to get it ready, practice with it, and have all your employees comfortable in Business Central.

Step 6: When the time comes at the end of the promotional term to make the final migration, we’re here to implement the Go Live and help you monitor your business’ transition, troubleshoot any issues, and train your employees.

Step 7: After your migration is completely finished, we will keep in contact with you via regularly scheduled client service meetings that are included in your partnership. During these meetings, we will continue to listen to your needs and goals for the company, and we will continue to provide suggestions on how your current solution can do more for you or, if we can help you achieve more with a new product, we might suggest those as well. We’re not a pushy partner, but we’re a proactive one that doesn’t just sit on the sidelines waiting for you to ask for help. Come to us when you need, and we’ll also reach out regularly to make sure you’re getting the most out of your business solutions.
